I talked about it about a year ago. Now I am actually doing it, still can’t believe that I am now taking 30++ kgs along with me, walking in places that I am considered as a tourist/foreigner.

Packing was not difficult just that many last minute changes, you want to buy this, you want to buy that, you want to bring so many things that it could reassemble your home when you’re in overseas.

Last minute prepare always comes along with last minute packing. You go to a optician to get another pair of glasses, went to do your annual dentist checkup because things are so MUCH expensive until you can vomit blood and die that type in overseas! Oh you also shop excessively because you have this worrying disease that things you usually have/use in your own country that you assume that it is not available in other country (not so obvious to say it’s expensive?)

When west goes to east, it’s expensive; When east goes to west, it’s expensive. Moral of the story, when you go overseas = it’s expensive to get your usual daily stuff.

These statement above generally applies to me, got a new luggage, bought lots of instant noodle with curry flavor (being a jakun i know!), milo (being a sampat i know!), and other junkie stuff. Bought a new camera len as well! Er, I literally packed all my usual daily stuff (electronics – being a typical Asian traveler after all! :P ) which would not affect my daily life.

I’m just being suicidal by burning all my money and left some saving that is good enough to buy a few packets of nuts. My whole saving is being invested in this 5 months, better make sure it’s worth the price!

One day before going, making sure you had all your craving satisfy or else you’ll have homesick long before you know it. I had roti canai, rojak, taiwan fried chicken + super awesome lemon lime jelly in pasar malam, cendol with pulut (rice), banana leaf rice, teh tarik.. i better stop now or it’ll make me feel homesick too :P hahahaa

You organize a small get-together dinner to see everyone that you promised to meet up (more like you feel like seeing them before you leave because you will miss their company A LOT and decided to use this last few hours to spend some quality time together!)

Hugging your parents is a must to show that you love them, more like giving them the confidence that you’ll come back to see them (no jumping out from aeroplane or having a sudden marriage ceremony in overseas) and ensuring that you wont become someone that they do not recognize (boob job, face job, organ job with some exception on leg job or fat job)! loool!
